In 2010 BCDH won the Local Authority Manager’s Award (LAMA) for the new development of 59 social and affordable housing units in Clonshaugh, Dublin.  This is an example of the attention detail, albeit in this case on an extremely low budget, that is embodied in the design of multiple unit residential schemes.  BCDH been invited to prepare designs for some of the most sizable projects in Ireland including the U2 Tower which included 182 of the highest specification apartments and penthouses, a scheme for the Jury’s Ballsbridge site that included over 700 residential units in addition to smaller more intimate infill developments of 16 residential units in East Wall, Dublin.  A successful scheme can act both as a quality new housing development but also help in place making through appropriate and considered urban interventions
