A one off house exemplifies the character and ambitions of the individual client.  Realising such qualities in a built form is achieved through designing the particular spaces that respond to the clients’ way of life and forming unexpected and inspiring relationships between the living volumes and external spaces. BCDH have gained a reputation over the last decade of producing award winning and unique house designs in Ireland that respond to specific sites and contexts.  This recognition has taken the form of awards from our peers including the RIAI and AAI in addition to features in publications and newspapers including the Irish Times and Irish Independent.  We have now also gained recognition for our work in the United Kingdom with a design for an ecological house in Surrey on the River Thames that was featured on the BBC.
