The RIAI has adopted a procedure for recognising & accrediting levels of skill and experience in conservation architecture.  Having become an RIAI Grade 3 Conservation Architectural Practice in 2006, BCDH have been engaged on a number of conservation and restoration projects both on a domestic scale and also small commercial protected structures.  A protected structure is a building or a structure that a local authority considers to be of special interest from an architectural or historical point of view and an obligation thereon falls on the owner to preserve the structure and its features.  This can be a complex process along which BCDH have guided many of their clients.  With the benefit of decades of experience combined with a dedication to innovation, our work in the sector explores the future of new buildings and unlocks the potential in historic ones.
