The brief for this one-off house was to provide a 5 bedroom contemporary dwelling with a view to maximising privacy and sun light. The proposed site was a long narrow plot within a proposed development of 25 houses. The orientation of the site was east west, with the front of the house facing west. The particular problem faced by this difficult site was how to avail of the sunlight with out compromising on privacy.
